A woman accused in a fatal drunk driving crash appeared in court Tuesday. Bail of 100-thousand dollars was set for 28-year-old Miranda Dalton, who was arrested for last Friday’s crash in the northwest valley. Police say 29-year-old Paul Maidman, an Air Force veteran, was killed after his car was rear-ended on Cheyenne Avenue near Buffalo Drive. Police say Dalton’s blood-alcohol level was twice the legal limit after the crash. Dalton’s attorney requested bail of 50-thousand dollars, but Justice of the Peace Debbie Lippis doubled the amount, citing a DUI conviction Dalton received in 2001. A preliminary hearing for Dalton is scheduled for October.
