I just saw this story on CNN for the first time and I am in shock. I can not believe this woman! She just stole the life of what seemed to be a loved and wonderful human being, and had the nerve to go out parting?!?! If I was in her shoes, I don't know if I could even get out of bed, let alone go out with friends to get wasted. I'm glad the judge raised her bail. I hope they put her away for a long, long time. All of you are just wonderful for doing this, and I'm sure Paul and everyone else who's been killed by a drunk driver would be sooooo thankful for your courage and commitment.

My heart goes out to the Maidman family. My deepest condolences. this woman should be sent to jail for life. She took a life and her life should wasted in jail. She is the scum of the universe.

I too just saw this story on CNN. It is unfortunate that these stories happen everyday in this country....the careless and wreckless ruining the lives of good people, and in this case an American Hero who served his country. This woman and the friends that are supporting her should hang their heads in shame. She should be locked up for life. I am soooo sorry for his family and his friends and hope that God eases their pain and suffering.

It still amazes me that alcohol is legal, and leads to morons like this miranda person killing people, and Marijuana is illegal, and would have had miranda driving 10 miles an hour, rather than 80. go figure
